MWOSF promotes open, inclusive, and ethically sound research dissemination. As a scientific learned society, the foundation supports reviewers, editors, and authors to ensure that high-quality academic work remains freely accessible worldwide.

Ownership & Editorial Independence

MWSJ is owned and published by MWOSF. Editorial decisions are made independently by the Editor-in-Chief and the journal’s Editorial Board, based on scholarly merit and research quality. The publisher does not influence editorial outcomes.

Publishing Policies & Standards

Open Access: All articles are freely accessible and downloadable immediately upon publication.

Licence: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)

Peer Review: Double-blind review with at least two experts per article.

Ethics: The journal follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

Archiving & Preservation

Milky Way Scientific Journal (MWSJ) supports long-term digital preservation through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, Crossref DOI registration, regular secure backups, and OJS-based preservation infrastructure.

The journal intends to maintain participation in recognized preservation services such as the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, or similar trusted digital preservation systems where technically available.

All published articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref to ensure persistent identification, citation linking, and long-term discoverability.

Authors may appeal editorial decisions or report ethical concerns by emailing editor@mwsjournal.com. Appeals are handled by the Editor-in-Chief; unresolved ethical concerns may be referred to MWOSF.
