Milky Way Scientific Journal (MWSJ) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published content.

 

Digital Preservation

 

PKP Preservation Network (PN): All published articles are preserved in the PKP Preservation Network (PN), which provides decentralized and distributed preservation at multiple participating libraries.

 

LOCKSS and CLOCKSS: LOCKSS and CLOCKSS licenses are enabled in our OJS platform, allowing participating libraries to harvest and archive the published content. We are in the process of registering with CLOCKSS for additional redundancy.

 

Backups: In addition to external preservation networks, the journal performs secure off-site backups of databases and files on a regular basis to guarantee data integrity.

 

Persistent Identifiers: All published articles are assigned DOIs to ensure long-term retrievability.
